Sharing Templates

Choose Private, Team, or Public visibility, share your reusable template, and keep personal changes separate.

Share a reusable template with your team or make it available in Discover. You control the visibility of templates you own. Sharing a template does not share your encounter notes or patient records.

Choose who can see your template

  • Private: keep the template in your personal library.

  • Team: make the template available to your organization. You must belong to a team.

  • Public: make the template available in Discover for other clinicians.

Add a specialty before choosing Team or Public. Review the template first and remove patient names, identifiers, and other patient-specific details. Reusable fields should stay as fields, not fixed patient facts.

Share a template

  1. Open Templates → Personal and open a template you own.

  2. Review the content and select Save if you have unsaved edits.

  3. Use the Private, Team, or Public visibility control in the template toolbar.

  4. Choose Team or Public. Add a specialty first if Vero asks for one.

  5. Confirm the visibility label changes to your selected option.

Team visibility shares with your organization, rather than a selected individual colleague. The visibility selection saves as you choose it; saving template content is a separate action.

Make a shared template private

Open the template you own, use its visibility control, and select Private. This removes the original template’s public or team visibility. It does not delete copies other clinicians have already saved to their own libraries.

Make changes for your own notes

If another clinician owns the template, copy it to your personal library before editing it for your own workflow. If you use Learn on a template you do not own, Vero asks before creating or updating your personal Learn copy and leaves the shared original unchanged.

If you own the shared template, Learn updates that template directly. Check which template and version you are using before applying a reusable change. See Vero Learn and Template Basics.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t I see the sharing control?

Only the owner can change a template’s visibility. Vero-provided templates do not show this control. If you are using another clinician’s template, copy it to your library to make your own changes.

Why does Vero ask me to add a specialty?

A specialty is required before a template can be shared with a team or made public. Add the appropriate specialty to the template, then choose the visibility again.

Why can’t I choose Team?

Team sharing requires membership in an organization. Open Settings → Team to review your membership or invitations. For setup guidance, see Teams.

Does sharing a template share my patient records?

No. This control shares the reusable template. Patient records and encounter notes are separate. Review the template itself before sharing and remove any patient-specific information that was entered as fixed text.

How do I undo a template change?

Open the template, choose an earlier version from Version, review it, then select Save. Selecting a version alone only previews it. If you need help adjusting the template, ask Fin in the in-app support chat for focused steps or a suggested instruction you can review and apply.
