Changing Your Email Address

How to change your Vero account email, verify both addresses, and get help with organization-managed accounts.

Who can change their email?

Individual accounts can change their email in Vero, whether they are free or paid. You must be signed in and able to receive email at both your current and new addresses.

Organization accounts need Vero Support. If you belong to an organization or are its billing owner, email changes are support-managed. This includes members, admins, and admins without a paid seat.

This also applies if you created a team but have never subscribed. The restriction depends on your organization relationship, not whether you have paid.

Change an individual account email

  1. Open Settings → Profile.

  2. Under Account, select Change beside your email address.

  3. Vero sends a six-digit verification code to your current email. Enter that code and continue.

  4. Enter your new email address and request its verification code.

  5. Check your new email for a separate six-digit code, enter it, and select Verify and change email.

Your email changes only after both addresses are verified. This updates your existing Vero account; it does not create another account or migrate your notes and patients to a different account.

If you see contact support

Select Contact support beside your email, or email [email protected]. Let us know the current account email and the address you want to use. Our team will review the request and help with the next steps.

Do not subscribe, cancel your plan, create another account, or remove and re-invite a teammate just to change an email address. These actions are not the email-change process and may affect account or team access.

Troubleshooting

If a verification email does not arrive

  • Check the correct mailbox: the first code goes to your current email; the second goes to your new email.

  • Check your spam or junk folder and allow a few minutes for delivery.

  • Check the new address for typos. If your clinic manages your email, ask IT whether the message was filtered or quarantined.

  • If you cannot receive either code, contact Vero Support.

If the change fails

  • Expired verification: Complete the process within 15 minutes of requesting the first code. If it expires, close the dialog and start again in the same browser.

  • Code rejected: Use the latest code for the address currently being verified. The codes for your current and new addresses are different.

  • Email unavailable: Use a different valid work or personal email address. An address already associated with another account may not be available. Contact Support rather than creating or deleting accounts to work around this.

  • No access to your current email: Self-service verification cannot be completed. Contact Support for help; do not send anyone your password or verification codes.

  • You see Change but receive an organization-account error: Contact Support. Seeing the button does not override the organization restriction.

Frequently asked questions

What about provider sign-in and MFA?

Changing your Vero account email does not change your Apple, Google, or Microsoft account email or password. If you use one of those providers and are unsure how the change affects sign-in, contact Support before proceeding.

Email-change codes arrive by email. MFA codes come from your authenticator app. Never share either type of code.
