What This Import Does
Use patient-profile import when you already have documents for one patient and want Vero to suggest profile updates from them. Vero can review the uploaded content for demographics, clinical information, and custom profile fields.
The import does not change the patient profile automatically. You review every suggestion and choose what to save.
Import Patient Information
Open Patients from the Vero sidebar.
Select the patient whose profile you want to update.
Select Import near the top of the patient page.
Upload one or more supported files: PDF, Word document, image, or audio.
Wait while Vero analyzes the files and compares the extracted information with the current patient profile.
Review the suggested changes. You can edit a suggestion, accept it, or leave it unselected.
Select Accept All when every suggestion is correct, or accept individual fields one at a time.
Reviewing Suggested Changes
Suggestions are organized by profile section, such as demographics, clinical information, and custom fields. Vero may suggest a new value, add information to an existing field, or replace an existing value when the uploaded document contains different information.
Check names, dates, identifiers, medications, allergies, diagnoses, and other clinical details carefully.
Edit any suggestion that needs clarification before accepting it.
Leave a suggestion unselected if it should not be added to the profile.
Always verify extracted information against the source document before using it for clinical care.
What Happens to the Uploaded Files?
The files are used to extract possible profile updates. This workflow does not add them to the patient's Documents section. If you want to keep a document available in Vero, upload it through the appropriate encounter or document workflow separately.
Choose the Right Import Workflow
Import patient information: update one patient profile from PDF, Word, image, or audio files.
Extract from Context or Note: update the attached patient from the current encounter context or generated note.
Importing Patients: create or update multiple patient profiles from a CSV file.
Import Schedule: create planned encounters from a schedule file or image.
