Note Customization

Fine-tune the way Vero generates your notes. Adjust detail level, structure, and formatting for each encounter.

Where Customization Fits

The usual workflow is:

  1. Create or choose a Template — define the structure.

  2. Customize the note — adjust detail and formatting for this encounter.

  3. Use Learnings or Memory — teach Vero your longer-term style and preferences.

Note customization can apply to the note you are working on. Default preferences can be managed from Account → Preferences.

Detail Level

Use the detail level control to adjust how detailed your note should be:

  • Concise — pertinent positives, key negatives, active problems, and essential plan details only.

  • Balanced — clear structure with enough depth for most encounters.

  • Detailed — expanded context and more complete documentation for complex encounters.

Quotes

Enable Quotes when exact patient statements should be preserved in the note.

Useful for:

  • Symptoms expressed in the patient's own words

  • Mental health, emotional, or psychosocial concerns

  • Sensitive issues where exact phrasing matters

Abbreviations

Toggle Abbreviations to use standard medical shorthand when appropriate, such as HTN, DM, SOB, or BID.

If you prefer expanded terms for clarity, keep abbreviations off or specify your preference in the template.

Bullets and Paragraphs

  • Bullets formats lists as itemized lines, useful for problem lists, investigations, and plans.

  • Paragraphs creates prose-style text, useful for referral letters, consults, and narrative sections.

Applying Customization

After adjusting settings, click Regenerate Note to apply them to the current note.
