Replace lets you tell Vero how to spell certain words, expand abbreviations, or swap in your preferred phrasing — automatically, every time a note is generated.
If the transcription ever mishears a drug name, or if you like to dictate a shorthand but want it written out in full, Replace handles it for you so you don't have to fix it by hand.
How to set it up
Go to Settings → Replace.
Click + New replacement.
In the Instead of column, type the word or phrase you want Vero to look for — for example, a drug name the transcription gets wrong, or an abbreviation you like to dictate.
In the Do this column, type what it should become in your note.
Click out of the row to save. That's it — the replacement applies to every note you generate from now on.
To edit an entry, click the text and type your change. Press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. To remove an entry, use the delete button on the row.
Examples
Fix a misheard drug name — Instead of
metoprolil, Do thismetoprololExpand an abbreviation — Instead of
SOB, Do thisshortness of breathUse your preferred phrasing — Instead of
pt, Do thispatientCorrect a name — Instead of
Dr Smith, Do thisDr. Smyth
Tips
Only new notes are affected. Replacements apply to notes you generate after adding them — notes you've already created won't change.
Nothing extra gets added. Vero only makes the swap when the "Instead of" text actually appears in what you dictated.
Build up your list over time. There's no limit — add new replacements whenever you notice the same fix coming up.
