Patient Snapshot and Profile Extraction

Review longitudinal patient context and update a profile from encounter context or generated notes.

What Patient Snapshot Does

Patient Snapshot gives you a concise, longitudinal view of an attached patient. When prior information is available, Vero summarizes useful details from the patient profile and previous linked encounters so you can review the patient's history without opening each encounter separately.

Patient Snapshot is generated from information already stored in Vero. It does not search an external medical record or replace review of the source chart.

Open the Patient Panel

  1. Open an encounter.

  2. Select the patient control near the encounter title.

  3. Attach an existing patient or create a new patient if none is attached.

  4. Open the attached patient's panel to review profile details, previous encounters, and the Patient Snapshot.

If the patient does not yet have prior linked history, a snapshot may not be available.

Add a Snapshot to Encounter Context

When you are on the encounter Context page, select Add to Context below the Patient Snapshot. The snapshot is added to the current encounter context so it can inform the note you generate.

Review the snapshot before adding it. Confirm important details against the patient record, especially medications, allergies, diagnoses, and recent plans.

Extract Profile Updates From an Encounter

Vero can suggest patient-profile updates from the current encounter. The available action depends on which encounter view you are using:

  • Select Extract from Context while viewing the encounter Context.

  • Select Extract from Note while viewing a generated note.

Vero compares the encounter content with the attached patient profile and presents suggested changes for review. Suggestions may include demographics, clinical information, or custom patient fields.

Review and Save Suggestions

  1. Read each suggested field and compare it with the encounter source.

  2. Edit a suggestion if the wording or value needs correction.

  3. Accept the suggestions you want to save, or use Accept All only after reviewing the complete list.

  4. Leave incorrect or unnecessary suggestions unselected.

Extraction may suggest adding information to a field or replacing an existing value. Nothing is saved to the patient profile until you accept it.

Custom Patient Fields

If your patient profile includes custom sections, clear section titles and descriptions help Vero place extracted information in the right field. You can manage custom patient fields from the patient profile settings available to your account.
