Earlier Formatting Update

An earlier formatting update, with current guidance on Learn, template versions, and customization.

Earlier product update. This article summarizes an earlier set of note-formatting improvements. For current setup and the Learn changeover, use the guides below.

What this update focused on

More accurate template following

The update focused on following specific template fields and rules more reliably, including where information belongs, how sections are formatted, and what to omit when information is missing.

Improved section placement

The aim was to keep symptoms and history in history sections, exam findings and completed results in Objective or Results sections, and management where the template directs it.

Cleaner objective and exam sections

The update focused on preserving source-supported exam details, including laterality, severity, functional findings, and focused normal findings, while reducing vague filler.

A more useful Concise mode

Concise mode was refined to produce a shorter note while retaining the important encounter information.

More accurate patient identity handling

Encounter titles such as “Annual Wellness” or “Follow up” should not be treated as the patient’s name.

Frequently asked questions

How does Learn work now?

Learn saves reusable edits directly in a new template version. Separate learned examples are no longer used to generate notes. The changeover updates templates automatically; you do not need to take action. See Vero Learn for the complete changeover Q&A.

What if my notes no longer follow my preferred format?

Review the active template and applicable saved preferences. To restore an earlier template, choose its number in Version, review it, then select Save. If you need help adjusting the template, ask Fin in your existing support conversation for focused troubleshooting or a suggested instruction. If the output still contradicts a clear saved rule after these checks, the team can investigate. See Errors & Template Issues.
